Greeking basics
What is greeking?
Greeking is the set-dressing technique of obscuring real-world branding on props or packaging so it doesn't appear on camera. The traditional approach is masking tape and a Sharpie, or hand-printed stickers. What does “pre-cleared” or “licensed” mean for film/TV use?

What's the difference between Greek-Kit and dot sheets?
Dot sheets are typically small, single-purpose adhesive pages used for VFX tracking or quick label coverage. Using Greek-Kit on set
How do I apply greeking stickers?
Pages are die-cut in standard shapes and sizes. Peel, place, and burnish lightly with a finger or burnishing tool. For tight tolerances, score around the edge with our included precision knife and lift cleanly.
Will the adhesive damage rented props?
Greek-Kit stickers use a low-tack pressure-sensitive adhesive that's designed for short-term application and clean removal in normal conditions. As with any adhesive, test in an inconspicuous spot first if you're working with finished, painted, or paper surfaces — especially on rented or vendor-loaned props.
What's the difference between matte and glossy?
Matte finish kills on-camera glare and reads as a flat surface or printed label. Use it for set work that doesn't need to look like a glossy printed product. Glossy finish reflects light like real printed packaging — use it when the prop should read as a manufactured retail item with a printed label or logo.
What are VFX markers for?
VFX markers are sticker patterns — cross marks, dot grids, contrast targets, corner registration marks — that VFX supervisors apply to set, costume, or props as reference points for compositing and motion tracking in post. Cleaner reference than tape, faster than custom plotting on set, and consistent across shots so post can lock tracks without artifact cleanup.
Production use
Can I use Greek-Kit on a network show, streaming production, or commercial?
